1992-96:
Hesperus was
a member of the marchigian black metal band called Sulphuria;
in that time Hesperus was known as Ritus tenebrarum (bass & backing
vocals); Sulphuria was a trio and realized a rehearsal demo and 3 demos
(two with Ritus tenebrarum) and a song in a cd compilation:
1993: Funeral
nation, rehearsal demo
1995:
Ad jacendum sub
fluminis infernalis, demo
1996: Caelum sanguineum,
demo with italic vocals (1200 copies
sailed and good reviews)
In 1996 Sulphuria realized the third demo (Nera Celebrazione
Elettrica) and a song of it was in the "volume
1 of the norwegian compilation Asgardreien"; that volume
included songs of artists like Horna, Dornenreich, Frostmoon, etc
and Sulphuria was the only italic band in that cd.
1996-97:
In that year Hesperus
leave Sulphuria (R.I.P.) to realize his ideas of a conceptual oneman
band with more epic and introspective elements, and this project was
Hesperia, ancient
name of italic and west european lands, and Hesperus was their ancient
king in greak mythology (see Hesperia Scriptum in www.Hesperianlands.tk
for more information).
Initially the music created from Hesperia was a sort of black metal
with epic and folk elements and lyrics, and in 1997
was recorded the very raw rehearsal demo:
"The return of an archaic civilization",
in very few copies.
After
it Hesperia decided to not limited itself with a restrictive type of
music and to introduce in it every type of influence from different
fields: literature, cinema, history, mythology, folklore, etc...
In Hesperia 's music was introduced ambient , theatrical, and progressive
elements, leaving intact the rawest side, a fundamental point to creating
a sound evocative, charismatic and distant in time and space, rich of
italic cultural elements and called Metallo Hesperico
(archaic italic metal).
Hesperia also became a concept project very long, complex and divided
in three Compendiums: the Historical, the old Hesperian,
the new Hesperian(see Hesperia scriptum).
1998-2001: in
'98 Hesperus begun the recording (with a 4 track analogic recorder)
of the first part, of the first volume, of the first
compendium: "Aeneidos
Metalliapotheosis part I"
with italic vocals, and some latine ones.
It was inspired byVirgilio's Eneide to describe
with mythology the origin of italic History.
The recording taken two years, and the sound was captured in three different
caverns in the east shores of italic lands (in the region of Marche,
in the Adriatic coast near Sibillianmounts, the
mounts of Sibilla, the mounts where Hesperus leave,
near the ancient roman ruins of Helvia Ricina).
The mix and the mastering was finished in november 2001 at Patchworks
dungeon.
The instruments choosen for "Aeneidos
" were basses
(4 to 8), octaved basses, bass effects instead of guitars ,
so in that first part there are no guitars and no keyboards;
but the instruments will change in every cd.
2001:
in December was re-recorded a track of the rehearsal demo '97 (with
guitars) and put as a bonus track in "Aeneidos
" to show
the origin of Hesperia's music. This song was recorded at "le
gole dell'infernaccio" on the Sibillian mounts.
2002-2003: RELEASE
OF "AENEIDOS METALLIAPOTHEOSIS parte I"
Next releases:
-"The return of an archaic civilization",
rehearsal demo '97 completely re-recorded & re-produced, in different
places on the Sibillian mounts.
-"Aeneidos Metalliapotheosis parte II".
